Beaches
Van Buren State Park
Just 3 miles away is Van Buren State Park, with a great beach and small dunes!
South Beach
South Beach is a short walk from the downtown, and in the evenings it’s a popular place to take a walk.
North Beach
Only a half block away, North beach is a often the place to be during the day, and quieter than South beach at night. For those who enjoy beach volleyball, North beach has many courts available.

The Kal-Haven Trail

The route of the Kal-Haven originally was a railroad compleated in 1870, the railroad bed has been converted to a trail with a limestone/slag surface. It is usable for all non-motorized bicycles, hiking, and snowmobiling when there is a 4-inch snow base. In 2004 Van Buren County obtained a use permit to operate and maintain The Kal-Haven Trail Sesquicentennial State Park.
